THE BAND
Hailing from Melbourne’s Eastern suburbs, 1982 Rockband is a powerhouse Classic Rock, Aussie Rock, and Modern Rock cover band that knows how to get the crowd moving. With a passion for high-energy performances and a party atmosphere, they bring legendary rock anthems to life with top-tier sound, lighting, and themed gigs that engage and electrify audiences.
Delivering iconic hits from AC/DC, The Angels, Guns N’ Roses, Bon Jovi, Van Halen, Green Day, Foo Fighters, INXS, Kings of Leon and so many more hit songs from the 80's through to today, 1982 Rockband recreates the magic of rock’s golden era while also delivering great modern rock classics. Their setlist blends classic anthems and contemporary rock hits, keeping the dance floor packed with sing-along choruses, electrifying riffs, and unstoppable energy that leaves audiences wanting more.

BAND MEMBERS
Sarah
Sarah Remin - Lead Vocals/Keyboards
A powerhouse performer with an incredible vocal range, Sarah brings energy and charisma to every show. Covering legends like Pat Benatar, Stevie Nicks, and Chrissy Amphlett, she delivers each song with passion and precision. Her musical influences span Motown, Hard Rock, Classical, Alternative and Indie.
On stage, she’s the ultimate diva, always dressed to impress. Her keyboard skills add depth to the band’s sound, enabling them to put a unique twist on their covers. Outside of 1982, Sarah also captivates audiences as a solo artist in clubs, lounges, and pubs.

Matt Wilson - Lead/Rhythm Guitars/Vocals
A dynamic guitarist with a seamless blend of classic rockand modern influences, Matt is a key part of the band’s electrifying live presence.
His technical finesse and expressive playing style are deeply rooted in the legends — Jimi Hendrix, Eddie Van Halen, Jimmy Page, and Slash. With his arsenal of Gibson Les Pauls, he perfectly complements
James’ Fender Telecaster, adding richness and balance to the band's sonic landscape.
No shrinking violet, Matt loves nothing more than to take the show offstage to sing, dance or shred a solo in the crowd.

James
James Benson - Lead/Rhythm Guitars/Vocals
Known as "The MD – Musical Director," James is the backbone of the band.
His expertise extends beyond performance to arrangement, genre selection, chord progressions and harmonies.
A master of note-for-note solos, he brings precision and passion to every song. Drawing inspiration from blues greats like Stevie Ray Vaughan, Albert King, BB King and Eric Clapton, James creates
a signature tone with his Fender guitars, helping to shape the band’s distinctive sound.

Jason
Jason Bleakney – Drums
Dubbed "Pretty Boy Floyd," Jason is more than just a striking
presence — he’s a powerhouse behind the kit.
His impeccable timing and preparation ensure the band stays
tight through every performance.
With experience across multiple musical styles, he exudes
confidence, making complex drumming look effortless.
Inspired by rock legends like Metallica,
Guns N' Roses and AC/DC,
Jason is the rhythmic heartbeat of 1982.


Scott
Scott Palmer - Saxophone
Scott, the band’s "legendary sax man," brings an electrifying presence and a rich, distinctive tone that sets 1982 apart
from other cover bands.
His onstage energy and seamless blending with diverse
genres elevate every performance.
Whether leading a sax solo or enhancing the overall sound,
Scott’s contributions are invaluable.
Scott is Influenced by the greats such as Johnny Colla, Kirk Pengilly,
Clarence Clemons, Tim Cappello, and Kenny G.

Stephen
Steve Scicluna - Bass
The man with the biggest smile on stage,
Steve is the driving force behind the band’s rhythm section.
Effortlessly locking in with the drums and rhythm guitars,
he keeps the groove tight and the energy high.
His love for music spans multiple genres,
with a particular passion for classic Aussie pub rock.
Engaging with the crowd and making bass playing look effortless, Steve ensures every performance is
as fun as it is rock-solid.
